Morning: cleanse, moisturize, protect
Start with a cleanse — whatever you already trust works here. There is no BareOS cleanser to plug into this step, and that's deliberate: a routine is easier to debug when you're not swapping out the wash every season. Make sure the skin you're working with is damp, not dripping, before you move on.
Press in a pea-sized amount of our Moisturising Day Cream while the skin is still slightly damp. The cream sits on an oat, honey, and chamomile base with grass-fed tallow as the lipid backbone, so it absorbs in seconds and leaves no film. Give it thirty seconds before the next step.
Then, if you'll see the sun, press on Edible Sun Balm as a final sub-step. Warm a fingertip against the tin, dab onto the high points — cheekbones, nose, brow, ears, the tops of shoulders — fifteen minutes before you go outside. The non-nano zinc and beeswax grip is what holds it on through sweat.
Evening: cleanse, seal, sleep
Same cleanse, same trusted bar or milk. The point of a two-product routine is fewer moving parts to debug — once you've settled on what works to wash your face, leave it alone.
Apply a slightly more generous layer of Moisturising Day Cream to any dry zones — cheeks, around the eyes — and let it sit for a minute before anything else touches your face. The chamomile infusion keeps it from sitting heavy, even when you use a thicker pass.
In dry seasons, finish with a thin layer of Edible Sun Balm as an occlusive seal over the cheeks. This is the optional evening "balm" step — used sparingly, just enough to lock the cream in, not as a full coat. Skip it in humid weather; your skin will tell you when it wants it.
Why this stays a two-product routine
Fewer ingredients means easier debugging. When something breaks your face out, you'll know which jar did it. Day Cream plus Sun Balm, on top of whatever you already wash with, is the simplest fully-functional routine you can keep — and the easiest one to actually stick with.
